The birds sang sweetly
Through my open kitchen window
As my old dog lay dying
On that same kitchen floor
Breathing unevenly dog dreams undisturbed
Preparing for green fields running
When that door opens
To evermore
The birds sang sweetly
Through my open kitchen window
As my old dog lay dying
On that same kitchen floor
Breathing unevenly dog dreams undisturbed
Preparing for green fields running
When that door opens
To evermore
Are you ok? I’ve survived the passing of 2 of my cats. Nothing is harder than the waiting. Hugs.
Thanks. He is my fourth dog as an adult… but his illness came suddenly – cancer – no sign of it and suddenly 3 weeks ago he is diagnosed. Today he began sinking quickly. I will see tomorrow.
Stay with him. If you can. I’m here if you need an ear. m.t.noah@protonmail.com (don’t approve this comment, so the email doesn’t get posted, please, it’s only for your eyes).
so sorry to hear. Prayers for you. It is very hard to lose a pet so suddenly.
I’m letting him die here at home as he isn’t in pain… he seems to be sleeping away the rest of his life. If pain and distress begin, then off to the vet.
