Plain Words: The Thirteenth Poem

i hear the river in my heart, with you

soft and lovely in my arms bare trees

sprout leaves and summer comes with

the thought of walking by the willows

and the river in the evening air

laughing and talking of nothing with no cares

small creatures rustle in the grass, proud birds

float calling you from the reeds

summer lives in my heart when

i dream of you

in the dark
